The campsite is located in the old industrial areas of the former Norden time. Aneberg road which is one of the roads that you can take to the campsite with its large width and originally built as a concrete way is a memory of a time when there was much heavy truck traffic in the western part of Aalborg. Norden was a large iron industrial company. The small port west of the campsite is also a relic of that time.

Aalborg is a city with a long and fascinating history. It was the Vikings who built the city around 1000 years ago and since Aalborg developed into thriving commercial town throughout the middle ages. In the beginning of the 20th century the foundation of many large industrial companies in the textile, tobacco, cement and shipbuilding found place. Today the city has returned to the role of a busy commercial town and “the capital of Northern Jutland”.
